I haven’t watched this game from start to finish, but the announcers do nothing but kiss Louisville @ss the whole freaking game. The refs are just brutal. Every time down the court is a magic 8 ball for contact.
Agreed. We got in the bonus and immediately they stopped calling fouls
Right! They make a pass to a wide open person and you would’ve thought it was an amazing top 10 pass
We’re really lacking plays to get off a shot though. Like a double screen set.
Oh well. Frustrating. I thought the ladies gave a great effort - they defended so hard all night. Brown wasn’t having a great game, but we needed her down the stretch.
That’s gotta sting for Naz - gotta hit that.
Game. Good season ladies. Way too many turnovers and the offense went to sleep the last 6 minutes
This game went much better than I expected it would. Best team in program history, hard to fault ‘em.
Gonna look forward to this team getting destroyed by South Carolina.
It’s really annoying. That was bulls***.
It was an entertaining game. Turnovers did us in. Congratulations to the team for making their first Elite Eight. They have a lot to be proud of this season.
Engstler with the Dennis Rodman box score
It’s a heck of an effort against a team that blew them out. They were always going to turn us over a lot, we still were in position to pull it out, despite all the turnovers.
I, too, look forward to them getting stomped by SC.
Seeing the in-state girls getting away from Michigan has to sting.
Top 100 in-state recruits:
Ruby Whitehorn going to Clemson. Lexus Bergassuer going to Indiana. Abbey Kimball going to MSU. Mya Petticord going to A&M. Madisen Wardell going to DePaul. That’s just this year class alone.
Last year, Jillian Brown to NW, Brie Salenbien to Gonzaga, Morasha Wiggins to UNC, Daimaya Hagemann to MSU, Kaybriana Hallman going to Xavier. Ally Van Timmerman going to BC.
None have picked Michigan. Yes, KBA has brought in a good recruiting class for '21 but what in the world is happening them them with in-state girls?!?! Are they not prioritizing in-state pipeline or are they not good recruiters?
Yes, they landed two top 100 recruits last year in Pheila and Wiggins. Pheila has taken away from the sting of losing out in-state recruit.
Same old teams in womens final four again.
Yeah I mean they are the best team at forcing TO’s in the nation and we tend to be careless.
There were always going to be turnovers. The big thing was our inability to run a set (any set!) in the fourth.
Every starter had at least 3 turnovers. Can’t win like that.
Going forward, KBA has gotta figure out a way to get the TOs under control. We won’t have a hyper efficient scorer like Naz to paper over them next year.
All said, best season in school history. Deserved a banner but weather prevented it.
I mean, we’ll hang an Elite 8 banner, no?
You really think the Naz and the staff haven’t worked on it?
They had 2 top 40 recruits last year dude. This years freshmen and sophomores are literally the two highest ranked classes in program history.
2 top 40 recruits is fine but when you strike out on every in-state recruits, that’s not a good thing.
