The squad did get their FG% up to over 36% for the game.
Olson leads the way with 18 points, Hobbs with 16, and Holloway with 10. The women are now 8-1 and 1-0 in the B1G.

Speaking for former Wolverines, Laila Phelia is having a rough start to her Longhorn year. She has been dealing with some injuries but in 4 games, she’s only averaging 6.5 points in 20.5 minutes per game.
I might do a deep dive into all the women transfers in the Former Wolverines in the NCAA thread.

Ugly game with some real ugly shooting yesterday, but Olivia Olson dragged them through it for a win.
If you would have told me they only turned the ball over 10 times and outrebounded Northwestern but the game was very much in doubt late in the second half…yeesh.

The new AP poll is out and Michigan moves up to #20. Strangely, MSU leapfrogged us, going from #24 to #17. Somehow, their blowout win over 3-6 DePaul was more impressive than our 6 point win over 4-3 Northwestern.

We’ve got a 42-13 lead in the 2nd quarter over UDM. Detroit was 6-1 coming into the game with wins over WMU & EMU. Their one loss was to MSU, also a blowout. Olson leads the way with 10 points.

Credit to the ladies for crawling back by leaning on their defense. OU is huge and physical. This game has been bruising. Both teams are shooting free throws the rest of the way at the TV timeout in the 2Q.
