The announcer saying “Gotta adjust to the whistle” when players are alternating getting mauled whistle-free at the basket and then being whistled for off-ball fouls is…something.
The fouls have been killer for Michigan, knocking Greta and Swords out for a bunch of the half. I gotta give credit to Grabovskaia for holding her own. She has athletic limitations, but she’s hanging tough tonight.
They really need Grabovskia to be playable in these matchups
They are allowing literally wrestling matches on ball
But if you look at someone 20 feet off ball - that’s a foul

Danger time. Michigan is getting nothing on offense. It has felt like they have been holding on for dear life, and now OU is starting to hit shots and get deep post position.
Feels like this is the kind of game where Hobbs is going to need to get to the basket and make some tough shots to get something rolling.
I don’t know what else Greta is supposed to do there. Went straight-up, didn’t bring the arms down, and took a shoulder into her chest.
It stinks we’re so much smaller and also not allowed to make contact

Hobbs has such a big job in this game (and probably most high major games)
Has to guard the biggest player (where she will always give up like 25 pounds and an inch) and be a volume scorer

Agreed. I feel like Greta has also had a tough job defensively this year — often checking the 5 but performing above my expectations in that regard.
They’re going to have to really grind this one out. Seems like we’re two post touches away from this being about over in foul trouble.
Edit: I don’t mean this as a dig at the team. Just seems like they’re on a knife’s edge with foul trouble.
