Game 12: Michigan at Minnesota Open Thread

Smith completely missed Livers on that last possession and then gave it to him too late.

Trying to be optimistic-if we play like Michigan in the 2nd half, weā€™ll win. I have no idea who that first-half team was.

We just need to get our ish together a little to win this, but Iā€™m disappointed in our lack of composure so far.

I suspect it will be behind the video, though.

Smith with his worst half of basketball since coming to A2

What a terrible performance by Michigan. Sure miss Eli Brooks on offense and defense! Huge loss for them hopefully only out this game or two at most hope donā€™t have few week injury could cost them chance at big ten title.

Two things Iā€™d like to not see in the second half: Dickinson trying to force-feed cutters and Livers trying to beat guys off the dribble.

Not going to win many big ten road games with 0 in a half from Franz and Smith. Theyā€™re capable, but particularly without Eli and with hard doubles coming at Dickinson we need them to step up as shot creators.

Assisted 40% of Michiganā€™s made baskets, though.

Second half we need a quick start.

Worst half Iā€™ve seen since Oakland. Only down 7. A good challenge theyā€™ll accept and meet (dammit).

Whatā€™s GRIII doing right now? We need a spark.

Good news: only down 7 despite whatever that half was

Bad news: no signs of anything changing. Virtually everyone playing poorly

Hopefully the start of the second half is better and they can get some confidence going

As poorly as Michigan played, its only down 7 even after giving away 4 points (2 corner threes on the line and a pair of Franz Wagner missed FTA) and almost a dozen turnovers.

Thatā€™s a great back handed compliment if I have ever heard one.

I think Dickinson just needs to fake the pass and invite the double team before making the pass and they can carve up this defense.

Hunter missed a FT also

It was only a 6 point game at the half in AA.

The weird thing is that I donā€™t think Eli usually seems like the glue to our offense. Maybe it is just one of those things where it shifts responsibility away from what everyone is comfortable with.

I just heard on the radio we shut down Minnesota the last five minutes of the half, other than fortuitous fouls and free-throw shots
