I think part of that honestly was having 1 ball-handler.
But yes.

on to the next. we’ll have forgotten about this one in two weeks. zero percent worried. go blue
Well, when the exact same play is sometimes a charge, sometimes a block, and sometimes no call, I don’t know what else to call it. Compare Dickinson’s charge in the first half with the no-call when Both drove on Mike Smith. Exact same action, same chicken-wing push-off, but one’s a foul and one isn’t. How much did that affect the final score? Who knows, because basketball is such a momentum game. To me, it felt like the whistles sapped Michigan of any momentum it might have had.
There’s a reason that Minnesota is undefeated at home and pedestrian on the road.
I take solace knowing that while many of us complain when Austin Davis plays, I truly believe he would still be Michigan State’s best option at C by a decent margin.
Too much Jackson and Davis. Bad things seem to happen when they’re on the floor
Well I am pleased that this game happened vs. not MSU. Beat Maryland.
I admit that I admire Coach’s dedication to get his son on the floor. If we aren’t going to blow ‘em out to open the half, we’re getting Davis-Williams-Zeb lineups so Jace can get his minutes.
I think it’s hard to know that in the barn. Yet another messed up thing about playing there.
Think people are overreacting about the rotations. Zeb in for Chaundee was a bad move at a critical time. But when no one is playing well the rotation doesn’t matter. Just got out played.
Carr had one, too, that ended up being an and one on Chauncee, but Carr pushed off first.
The Zeb thing directly led directly to the game getting out of hand
As well as Minni played this looked like last year without Livers. Just not the same team on either end without Brooks.
Rotations and the auto bench are the only gripe I have with Howard. And in the grand scheme of things those really don’t matter too much.
I totally forgot the game was on. I’m
A Bills fan so I’ve been prepping all day and it slipped my mind. I’m pissed
We have seen this from Juwan before.
Lineup changes that hand momentum to other side and make it difficult for us to establish momentum were seen in this game and against Oakland and Penn State. We saw it last year too, with some weird two big lineups. We played good lineups when Austin was out this year and Eli was healthy. Could become a pattern now that Austin is back.
I’ve been on the Zeb Jackson is underrated train for awhile, but I think I’m going to go ahead and get off at this stop. The talent is obvious and he even did some good things including bottling up Marcus Carr a couple time. However… the stupid mistakes really hurt and he really needs to do one thing consistently well if he wants to have an impact next year. Right now he’s not a reliable shooter, passer, or defender.
Can someone give my cliff notes on how we lost to those bums.
Not sure why people think that Davis is not going to play. He is a big body. Yes limited on defense but good scorer down low and needs to spell Hunter and especially against bigger centers.
I can’t stress enough how little you missed. Best game of the year to not watch, by far.
Basically, the entire team sans Chaundee Brown (who played his butt off) was walking in cement boots all game and eventually, annoying Minnesota guys started making threes. At one critical moment we pulled Chaundee for Zeb which was … suboptimal.
They’re not bums at the Barn
