So like is UConn the best team in cbb?

Wow, Donovan Clingan had 16 and 8 against Florida? Looks like heā€™s going to be a good player

He was taking Castletonā€™s lunch last night. Gonna be incredible when Sanogo leaves

Lotta athletes in this Houston/Alabama game.

Both teams are loaded. If Oats canā€™t do something with this team then idk.

Not sure if Welch is back yet but he should be a nice addition. Extremely deep and talented.

DDJ single handedly bringing Cincy back against Xavier. Hit two 3ā€™s in a row, last one got fouled and made the FT to tie.

And now poor rotation by big man fouled X player and gonna lose at the FT lineā€¦

EDIT: Cincy calls a Webber TO to ice it away. Tough ending, but great showing by DDJ.

Bama needs to shoot at the rim more. Theyā€™re getting to the rim at will.

Always liked Ddj. Still mad we never got to see that Covid tourney.

That team was loaded but had an up and down year.

Would have been interesting to see how they finished.

Iā€™m not sure Houstonā€™s offense is good enough to win the tournament.

Wins donā€™t get much better than that.

A young, young team knocking off an experienced #1 on their home floor.

Yeah, Houston was up by 15 in the second half, but as soon as their defense stopped forcing turnovers, Bama just worked their way back into the game because Houston couldnā€™t score. Houston scored 8 points in the last 8:45.

Houston had the #16 offense in the nation prior to this largely because they offensive rebound (44% tonight) and donā€™t turn it over (only 10)

I feel like their poor offensive performance had more to do with making/missing than a structural poor performance

I think their offensive numbers were skewed by their schedule. They beat some bad teams by a lot of points. Against Kent State they scored 49 in a 5 point win. Against St. Maryā€™s they scored 53 in a 5 point win. They will win a lot of games and win some games in March, but if they run into a team that is making shots they will eventually lose because they canā€™t go toe to toe scoring. Or they will just lose a game like they did to Villanova last year when they scored 44 points.

A large part of those scoring numbers is being 356th in tempo

Some of it is tempo and some of it is them shooting 32% and 36% in those games. They win gritty, not pretty. Today they scored more points, but shot 23% from 3 and 54% from the line. They just arenā€™t very offensively skilled. They win on defense and athleticism.

Houston is good at offense but theyā€™re not good at offense. Their offense is a reflection of the way they play on D. Big, strong athletes. Not much skill.

The TO was called on purpose apparently. Fascinating.
