We’re up 32-14, with under 3 remaining in the 2nd quarter. Swords leads the way with 9 points. However, it’s taken her 12 shots to get there.
not good enough
82-40 win over the Chips.
Bad second quarter, but smoked them the other 3. Tough night for Swords.
Not a 100 pt margin. Unacceptable!
I think the crazy thing with this team is that we get essentially this entire rotation back next year, minus BQD (a true loss), and Alyssa Crockett, who plays 11 mpg (most of which could probably just get absorbed by Delfosse next year). It’s early yet, but I don’t think “natty” is out of the question.
I just saw CMU beat Purdue last time out. Gonna be a long afternoon on Sunday for the Boilers
Adding Fope could be the final piece of a championship puzzle.
Obviously KBA will play true freshmen if they warrant it (it’s tough to tell if Olson, Swords, and Holloway were THAT good, or there weren’t other options - answer likely both), but the list is pretty short - Naz was the 6th man (and 6th in minutes), Phelia alternated between starting and coming off the bench (some injuries) but was also 6th in minutes. Then, obviously the trio last year. I feel like Delfosse’s arc is more common, even for good players.
Obviously if Fope shows up and is 6th in minutes, it’s still a relatively big role, but would be surprised to see her take Sofilkanich’s role whole-hog, it just does seem to be how KBA rolls.
Even though Naz was playing behind a senior, she was an impact player from the early going. She just popped, especially with her hustle, when she was on the floor.
Totally agree that she was really good - it’s sort of my point! They started a worse player over her all year mostly due to incumbancy! (and Thome was also still pretty good)
why isn’t maddie in a colorado jersey (I’m being like 65% sarcastic)
My daughter and I have been listening to and from practices!
Maddie and Jordan are her two all-time favorite Michigan players, so she’s absolutely loving it!
someone get Maddie a webcam that isn’t from 1999 ![]()
Today’s B1G opener vs. Purdue is on BTN in 20 minutes. Prepare accordingly.
They’re running a defensive and offensive clinic against Purdue. Amazing! We’re up 44-23 a little more than halfway through the 2nd quarter.
56-26 at the half. Olson is leading the way with 19/5/4. Swords with 9, Holloway with 8.
84-41 after 3 ![]()
