This team should be proud of their effort. Should do wonders for their confidence moving forward. They can play with anyone.

Yeah, amazing effort. Looked like they were going to get killed after the first quarter. They really outplayed UCONN after that. What a 3 point shooting exhibition from Swords. Fudd from UCONN is an incredible shooter. Really encouraging performance considering how good the opponent was. There’s a real chance UConn goes undefeated.

Still a bit gutted that they didn’t finish the comeback with that effort. High praise from Geno. I know I’ll be following this team way more closely this year. They are a lot of fun.

While Sofilkanich brings good height and talent, I’ll be excited to see what Fope Ayo adds next year. She has another inch or two and maybe 15-20 pounds on Ashley and that should help in the paint. Nobody could handle Strong on the glass last night. Olson is strong and tough but only 6’1” and not a space-eater.
Though it does look like DelFosse and Dudley are coming along, so that does give us length. We just don’t have anyone yet who’s going to bully the other team’s bigs and Ayo may be that player. We could be even more dangerous than we already are.

I wouldnt expect anything offensively from her. She will be back up next year, at best. Defense is where you would hope she can impact but that tough for a freshman, esp under KBA. She is tough with frosh.

Strong has been a great rebounder last year and this year. 20 rebounds against Michigan is ridiculous. She didn’t have a great shooting night from 3 pt line, but everything else is why she’ll be a #1 overall pick in ‘27 draft.
Azzi is making a case to be the #1 overall pick with her shooting and scoring. Wonder if Dallas will try to reunite her with Paige. I’m not as high on Betts as many are. I think it’ll be between Fam and Azzi for the #1 pick if Dallas wins the lottery.
