It’s still early times, I guess. We’ll see. She may be happy with life overall at Michigan and still see a path to a bigger role. She’s witnessed it happening for players like Kiser and Hobbs.

I’d say she has more upside than Yulia did, at least on the defensive end. She was a Burger Baller as a HS senior.
At worst, it’s a wash. I don’t know if we’re recruiting her, though. It’s much harder to find out what’s going on with women’s recruiting.

Sounds like a combo of starting spot availability and being a teammate once again with Syla is a good selling point for KBA.
I would hope that KBA would try to get two bigs in the portal because asking Greta who isn’t a big to guard bigs is a very tough ask.
That would be pretty huge. Kate was the #5 overall recruit in the 2024 class to ESPN, right behind Swords. Having three top-20 sophomores on this team would be wild.

Greta was a senior, so that option is gone. Dunbar (EDIT: I meant DelFosse) has some height (6’3") and length, but is very thin. Another 6’4"-and above option, in addition to Koval, would be great. UCLA is about to have two towers, with 5-star Sienna Betts joining her sister Lauren. It feels like size is the main thing right now that’s keeping us from being in the mix for a B1G title.

My point is KBA was asking a non-big player to guard bigs. She needs an actual big to do so. Yulia was a big sized but she was a backup and didn’t play all that much hence the transfer. Michigan do not have a big on the roster.
Koval and Grabovskaia have pretty similar stats, but Koval is 19 and Grabovskaia is 24.
I think Koval is an absolute no-brainer take if you can swing it
Playing close to 20 mins as a true freshman on Torvik’s #4 team in the nation is good.

@SkimMilkey is the WBB Twitter equivalent of Trilly. I think it may even be Trilly that runs the account. Not sure about his level of connection in WBB compared to MBB though
