I went looking to see if there were more brothers and sisters in the Swords family, and it looks like Savvy is the only one. Also, Savannah is Savvy’s given name.
How has Minnesota fallen so hard in WBB?
Honestly, have they been that good since Lindsay Whalen (who, as a coach, is mostly the answer to your question) left as a player?
Olson and Swords both 2nd team all conference, obviously first team all freshman, and Olson is co-freshman of the year with Jaloni Cambridge of OSU. Jordan Hobbs got honorable mention all conference.
Think maybe they missed Holloway on all freshman, but I won’t pretend to know much about Britt Prince or Kennedy Smith (maybe for the 18 team league, it should be more than 5 people)
Washington beat Minnesota.
FYI, for those that weren’t aware, Michigan women playing on BTN right now against Washington. Nice start but down 1 point with 8 minutes left in the 1st half currently.
Up by 1 at halftime. I saw one Bracketology had Washington as last 4 in the tournament so they are playing for their tournament lives.
Okay, Washington can’t miss right now.
My daughter and I are going to the tournament tomorrow-Sunday, and I am going to be soooooooo disappointed if we don’t even get to see Michigan play. Gotta get this one!
Extra reason to root now!
Also, I feel like this game is moving fast.
A nice 8-0 run the last 2 minutes to give themselves a little space. Up 44-39.
And yes this game is moving fast
Forcing a timeout after a run and then coming out of that ATO to force a shot clock violation is chef’s kiss.
Edit: and then the alley out of their own ATO. Love it!
Run up to 13-0 LFG!!!
Man this game changed in a hurry. This felt destined to be a nail biter and now a 13-0 run to take control back. in just 3:30 of game time.
Man, BQD is so fun to watch.
Holy cow that shot from Swords?!
Maybe they just needed that first half to shake off the rust and/or nerves that Washington got to shake off yesterday?
Whew Daniels is legit. She’s been a problem for us all game.
