Disappointed by Teske thus far but Davis is fun as hell to watch tonight.
Eli kept us alive, but this game really turned when Davis threw down that monster dunk. Heās taken the game over.
Not sure if Davis has surpassed Teske but he sure does have a greater ability to finish close to the rim with both hands. He also seems to have a better understanding of where he is on the court, meaning gets better position and knows how to use the rim in those little reverse lay ups.
Iām on the couch cackling like a madman every time Austin gets it down low.
Are we going to see the usual Nunez turnover
Thus season has been nuts, Just nuts.
Canāt believe Iām watching a conference game saying things like āGet it in to Davisā and āThey canāt guard you, Big Country!ā What a world.
It makes me think of the last euro trip they took. Davis looked great and played better than Jon. Then he just disappeared again.
Confidence and minutes are up. Heās found himself , plus an offense that plays a bit to his strengths.
IMO I think he has put added pressure on himself to play like the elite bigs in the league, to try to show he can be an NBA player. But he just has a different game to Wesson, Garza, Otturu, and even Cockburn. Teskeās offensive game lacks diversity. On Tim McCormickās Podcast he did mention his goal is to play in the league next year.
Dikembe in the house to see his protege Austin Davis
Just baaaaaarely out
Livers got fouled on that 3
F that push no call.
Alright Teske, letās see a better shift.
Another step out of bounds. We have to lead the country in that stat.
What I like about Davis is his patience. Sometimes younger players tend to hurry and throw up weak, rushed shots. Davis is really settling in, and has been so strong!
The amazing part about Davis is his finishes are not straight up. Using the rim to protect from shotblocking, little half hooks, etc. Who wouldāve thought.
Wow, DDJ with the Geo Baker stepback
Yup, Teske looks sped up, Davis looks patient.
DDJ! Thatās wats up!
