I do think Davis tempts Juwan to play weird lineups too much. When he was out, weird lineups weren’t even an option. They just played a short rotation

I just won’t ever understand why Chuandee Brown was subbed after making two key plays for Zeb before, and now Williams is getting key minutes. It’s like Juwan is tanking the game.

I’m afraid it’s not our day. No Eli hurts but we just haven’t had our usual energy/focus for long stretches. A classic road letdown.

if you try playing through the post and fail, so be it. to not even be able to get the ball into the post, that’s a different story. nothing more than laziness/lack of focus.

Probably one of the first times I have been disappointed in Juwan. Nobody was really playing well but the idea of Austin Davis playing 6 straight minutes to send a message to Hunter Dickinson is/was ridiculous. Davis can’t guard anyone, he was wide open for shots but has terrible spacial awareness along with his bad hands he can’t do a thing out there. Davis should only be playing 5-7 minutes per game, not 6 straight minutes.
Yeah, the way we’ve played, I think we lose this game regardless of whether Eli was in or out of the lineup

Said it last year when people were trashing brooks, dude just does all the little things that dont show up in the box score. Hed see minutes for pretty much every team in the country. Hes especially important for um with the limited backcourt options.

I think it’s two different issues.
- Loyalty to Austin Davis (“Who doesn’t love Austin Davis?”). The classic overrating your seniors thing that coaches do.
- Weird staggering issues. This year’s rotation has been super easy since 1-4 can basically just rotate easily between 5 guys with one person taking a rest at a time and no one really plays an insane amount of minutes. Last year was similar where people weren’t properly staggered and we would have horrible destructive lineups at times.
