Game 12: Michigan at Minnesota Open Thread

The result is missed hooks and Isaiah Livers hero ball. Of course it is.

A Smith-Jackson-Livers-Johns-Davis lineup is not going to get it done.

This is such a frustrating game.

Going to be infuriating if Eric Curry keeps hitting these mid-range 2s

That Livers look is exactly what you want. He’s a fantastic transition 3-point shooter.

No reason for that lineup man

It’s like the suddenly forgot how to run an offense

Pretty sure he shot it backwards

Yeah I wasn’t sure we’d see a minute without 2 of Wagner/Livers/Brown out there but uh, we are.

After ticky-tack start, the refs swallowing the entire chains along with the whistles as we get mobbed on offense.

Wagner needs to play every second the rest of the way

Yeah, if you’re going to get Zeb minutes it can’t be playing with Davis and Johns

That lineup has probably never played together even in practice so

I think I’ve heard announcers in past games say “NBA lineups” or “NBA substitutions” but it’s really baffling to me. Most NBA rotations revolve around keeping one of your “stars” on the floor at all times.

Inexcusable to have no Dickinson and no Franz on the floor at the same time IMO. Or at the very least, keep a shot creator like Brown on with Livers and Smith instead of going to Zeb with the backup frontcourt.

Not sure that group learned to play offense together.

I just don’t understand handicapping yourself with awful lineups like that for any stretch of time. Stagger the subs.

Man, no Eli is worse than I even imagined. Ugh. Hope it’s not a long term issue.

if we had a barrage of successful 3pt shots, let’s say 8 or 9 in a row, while Minnesota failed to score any points, that would be a good sequence for us

I said to my son when he got the ball by the three point line and started backing down…“no way he passes”

This, to me, is the main takeaway so far.
