I’d prefer they arrest his dad :joy:

I like this move for Derrick. That’s a good and improving league and an easy country to settle into

I thought I saw him playing at Wimbleton. Or was it Tiafoe?

I really like this for him. I thought it was a shame that he didn’t get another stint with the Pistons this season, after a successful stretch when they had him up.

Yeah, I agree with you. It shows just how difficult it is to stick in this league for guys on the margins. In 19-20 he played 26 games, shot 42% from 3, had a strong AST/TO ratio, and then never got another shot except a 3-game cameo for the Pistons.

Hopefully he can go make some decent money, light up the stat sheet, have some fun, and not stress about the NBA call that never came.

Good spot for Iggy. He’s been playing for Lithuania this summer and I wonder if being in that environment helped facilitate that for both sides.

I imagine he’s making a solid 6 figures with a good path to increase that if he plays well and sticks around

He’s very likely a better NBA player than Houstan is right now but this is not a bad situation for him.

Dude’s gonna average 30 per game.

So much for the dream of an all-Michigan lineup.

Ignas seemed like a quadruple-A guy - he’d light the G League on fire and struggle in the NBA.

I’m reminded of Alex Caruso’s comments about how many stars fail in the NBA because their games aren’t built to not be “the guy”.

Ignas carried a 27% usage in the G league - he was never going to do that in the NBA.

But Iggy is a far better known quantity.

Good landing spot, the top tier league of France, finished 3rd place last season.
