Former Michigan Players NOT in NBA

That is cringe worthy. At least put him in a driveway with a hoop in it.

Did he retire from overseas basketball?

It seems that way, yeah.

I’m pretty sure he ā€œretiredā€ sometime during the pandemic and came home from Israel. I think he talked about that on his podcast.

I keep forgetting that he has a podcast. I’ve been listening to Draymond and JJ Redick. Both are fantastic. I’m more of a NBA guy so any content I get from current or former players, I would consume.

It’s Indiana. Why don’t all the driveways have hoops?

I said this several months ago, but i hope um fields a TBT team soon. I feel like UM now has a great group of guys just on the fringe of the nba to field a really good team.

It’s not a Michigan player, but of peripheral interest to this board, Adreian Payne was murdered yesterdayin Florida. I guess he was playing in Lithuania this past year.

More on Payne’s story. I remember his reaching out to a young girl to had cancer. Life and death transcends basketball. Rest in peace young man.

Of course, there was also the extremely…negative…part of Payne’s life as well.

Based on the reaction I’m seeing today I assumed I was just misremembering the players involved in that case.

I mean, it ended his NBA career.

The ā€œallegationsā€ of sexual assault, if that is what you are referring to, did in fact end his NBA career, true. I don’t remember that the alleged assault was actually adjudicated though. Maybe he did some vile things, maybe not.

The way it was handled or, more accurately, not handled was horrific. Then add Appling’s subsequent criminal behavior. On this one, I’ll certainly side with the victim, even if Prosecutor believed she couldn’t get a conviction.

The prosecutor was later charged with sexual assault himself and disbarred.

And the actual Assistant Prosecutor assigned to the case ended up going in-house at MSU.

Or should this one be posted in the ā€œMichigan Players in the NBAā€ thread?

Stumbled on to this video of Andrew Dakich when he found out he was getting a scholarship.
Pretty good punk job on Andrew (thought he was getting arrested).
This college basketball player was pranked by the school and then given a full scholarship šŸ‘ - YouTube

In hindsight, they should have just arrested him
