We received a flyer in the mail today that Jon Horford is running for state representative in our area in Michigan.
Since OKC is essentially running a 4A team down the stretch of the NBA season, I hope X to the Z gets some time up there.
Triple double!
He really has had a good season in the G-League. I do hope he at least gets a cup of coffee in the NBA to say he made it there.
Shooting 34% from three - respectable! Someone call him up late season!
I want to see the Pistons call up Walton and OKC to call up X, and let them go mano a mano tonight!
imagine if you dropped a fully-seasoned, 27-year-old Derrick Walton on the Mich team next year. 35/15/6?
you think he’d only get 6 assists?
I did Pts/Ast/Reb since he’s a PG. but 35/6/15 in your format
won’t stand for this slander of the greatest rebounding point guard in big ten history
I kind of feel like the Pistons brought in Carsen Edwards instead of Walton to keep the Cruise strong at PG in the post-season.
I sat courtside for one of his G-League games. It’s amazing how fast he can rip down a rebound and get the ball up the court. Can’t imagine what a speedster NBA PG looks like.
If anyone cares, G-Leaguers:
Chaundee: 16/5/2 on 57.6% true shooting for the South Bay Lakers
Stauskas: 25/6/5 on 67.5% true shooting for Grand Rapids Gold
Zavier: 13/5/6 and 2 steals on 54.9% true shooting for OKC Blue
Mathews: 4/3 on 40% true shooting for 3 different clubs
Walton: 17/6/10 (and 1.5 steals) on 65.8% true shooting for the MC Cruise
DJ Wilson: 18/10/3 and a block on 62.2% true shooting for OKC Blue
Mike Smith: 9/2/4 on 50% true shooting for Sioux Fall Skyforce
Teske: 5/6/2 and 2 blocks for the Lakeland Magic
Abroad:
Rahk is doing a 12/3/3 in the top division in Poland/FIBA Europe (3rd tier continental league)
Jordan Morgan was hurt most of the year, but has posted a 4/4 in limited time at Venezia - an Italian Serie A team also competing in Europa League (2nd tier continental league
@mgl I love this stuff man, thank you for the research and frequent updates! There is a lot of Michigan alums all over the world shooting hoops!!
Any Michigan players who end up on the Grand Rapids Gold will be playing in a different venue next season.
I would guess that would be Van Andel in GR or Walker Arena in Muskegon?
There’s talks of them playing at the Van Andel Arena. That’s the only place that makes sense
