MSU is 8-2 at home, on a 2-game winning streak, and played Iowa extremely close at CHA. I think the Spartans keep that momentum rolling and get a big win today.

I unironically agree with this. After Iowaās dismal collapse into obscurity I think itās pretty easy to see MSU steal one here. Say what you will about Izzo, but heās infinitely better than Fran is at coaching.

The current lineup for MSU might be the worst defensive lineup itās possible to put together in the BIG this year.
I think in every single Big Ten game this week, the team Iāve cheered for has lost (frequently involving a brutal late-game collapse). I donāt know if I dare get emotionally involved in this one.
(Fortunately Sunday starts a new weekā¦)

Obviously MSU just isnāt good this year but thatās really what stands out to me. Their offensive is just terrible (86th in KenPom) so to have any sort of success they need to rely on their defense. But for a defense first team they also give heavy minutes to guys like Loyer, Langford, and Hauser who are all bad defensive players. Then you have a guy like Watts who should be good defensively but generally isnāt, and guys like Hoggard and Marble who donāt play major minutes most nights but arenāt anything special on defense. To be a defensive team with that many problem players defensively is a concern.

Mccaffery, Murray, and Nunge are 5-7 from 3. Thereās basically nothing MSU can do to comeback from that cause their offense is so garbage.
