I would say maybe play your bench less Izzo, but the two big culprits are Watts/Hauser (2/11 from the floor, 5 points). And there’s no way Izzo can bench future NBA Draft Pick Rocket Watts and future All-B1G 1st teamer Joey Hauser right?
He yanked Bingham just two minutes into the game too. No idea how you’re supposed to gain confidence when any mistake gets you pulled.
Does Foster Loyer do anything? Literally anything at all?
Does fall down count? Or are you looking for positively impactful things?
He builds the confidence of the guy he’s guarding? Makes Tom Izzo feel tall?
Sorry…not sure what else he does. How he was a top-100 guy I will never know. He could be useful in the same way Spike was…but a top-100 guy and Mr. basketball plus a starter for a team trying to make the tournament?
Foster Loyer is a discount Spike. At least Spike was actually a playmaker. Foster is a tiny spot up shooter
I mean I have to assume that some part of MSU’s disastrous offense stems from Loyer “initiating” the halfcourt set with the same action every single time, without exception. He is basically permitted to bring the ball up the court and hand off to Henry. It is as close as it gets to an actual 4 on 5 with Loyer on the court.
I’m always amazed that he was ever highly rated and ever offered a scholarship. His athleticism is below average for a 6’5 wing, let alone a 5’7 guy. Even if he was as good of a shooter as Steph Curry he wouldn’t be a HM player because he would literally never be able to get a shot off as teams would actually just guard him.

I think the “he’s a winner” narrative really took over with Foster in high school. And the Dane Fife/Clarkston connection really put some beer-goggles on for them, if you will.
The words spike and foster should never appear in the same sentence.
Have there been any rumblings on whether we can fit makeup games in between other scheduled games? I think there’s a 5 or 6 day layoff at some point - it looks like the B1G has allowed other makeup games if the teams can agree to it - has anyone agreed to make up our games with them?

Clarkson’s entire offense was set up for Loyer as a shooter. A high school Steve Alford.
No updates. Expect many updates over the next month. A lot of fluidity. The fact that no game has been announced for Tuesday leads me to believe they won’t play in that slot.
