A couple insiders at Scout believe UM either leads or co-leads for Leaf.
mjsb2 is there a link to where they say that?
UCLA and Indiana are maybe the favorites and definitely fighting for his service. Florida is getting some buzz, too.Glad MSU and UL didnāt make the cut.
IU is an absolute tire fire right now. Despite his family connections, I doubt he end up there.
Iāve heard positive things about Leaf and UM, I will remain blissfully optimistic.

Didnāt stop James Blackmon Jr.

Was honestly pretty surprised Blackmon remained an IU commit after:
- decommitting
- his primary recruiter making a lateral move to Louisville
- the mass exodus from the program of prior top recruits
I believe he may be referring to this thread.
There was also another article by someone else where they said they believed UM led for Leaf.

Indiana is a top Adidas school and will get highly rated recruits.
Towns checks in at #127, Cook at #68 in updated 247 rankings.
Meanwhile, Moyer up all the way to #14ā¦that is nothing short of shocking. How Moyer is ranked ahead of Towns is beyond me, how he is ranked 100 slots above is above my intellectual capacity.
Towns being outside the top 100 doesnāt make sense, but may be good for Michiganās chances with him. The longer he is not āblowing upā like Moyer did, the better he may be inclined to jump on the Michigan offer. I still think Leaf and Towns SHOULD be able to play on the floor at the same time, but I donāt think that is a likely outcome with the current scholarship situation.
I view Towns as 2/3 but Dylan said weāre looking at him for the 4 spot. Would be thrilled to have Towns
Some think the staff views Towns as a 2/3/4 like Irvin.
Battle? Unlikely. Coleman? Gone.Langford? Early and the big dogs will come calling. Dozier? We will see. Really want UM to ramp up interest in Jamal Murray. Goodin can also play there. UM needs at least 1 top 100 wing.
As far as Iām concerned on positionsā¦ There are basically four at Michigan: PG, Off Guard (potential to play PG in a pinch), the wing (3/4) and the center (5).
I think Towns fits as a 3/4, but he has a long way to go to be a two.
Just my 2 cents.
I guess I would compare Towns to Irvin who is nothing but a 3 to me, he has much more ability to create than Zak, hence my view of him as a 2/3. I do agree with Dylan though that Towns isnāt in the mold of Caris in terms of being ball dominant 2 that runs PnR but I do see potential there.
If Towns is UMās wing for 2016 and no PJ. Very bad. Like Irvin, he can play some 2 because of his shooting but a creator/defender is a must.

Unfortunately this is probably the most likely scenario at this point.
Langford/Battle both higher on the board than Towns IMO. What I mean is that if Towns were to join the class, Iād be shocked if that affected how hard Michigan is recruiting Langford or Battle.
No doubt they are higher in terms of priority, but are they as realistic is the true question?
I gave up on Battle a long time ago. Langford is realistic but his recruitment by all suitors hasnāt even begun.
Future 150 expects Towns to be a full time wing in college vs a 4
