Michigan Players in the NBA

A story about a non-story

It probably depends on the definition of “discussed.” Like, a GM says to another: “Say I was shopping Player X, what would you give me?” But they’re not seriously thinking of making a move.

Warriors fans are super excited to see him this season. His development has been great and looks like a nice piece going forward once Steph/Klay are done with basketball. His stint in the G League has really helped him mentally and the game started to slow down for him from there.

I think their closing lineup will include him. Klay is 6’7” and coming off a meniscus and an Achilles tear and is over 30 - I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think the question is not “do we want Poole over Klay” but “do we want Poole over Wiggins”.

I think Poole is a piece to go with for the future. Wiggins just doesn’t have it while Poole continues to progress as a player. He has shown that he is a bucket getter and his play should ease the pressure of Warriors from rushing Klay with his recovery timeline.

Yeah he’s definitely going to play a ton of 2 while Klay comes back, etc. My main point is that I don’t think it’s unreasonable to see Klay as a 3 in the future (he has the size), which then brings the question “would you rather play Klay at 2 and Wiggins at 3 or play Poole at 2 and Klay at 3?”

I think they rather have Klay at the 3 because of his shooting. If you have shooting threats with Curry, Poole and Klay, it’s going to unlock Draymond on being a playmaker at the PF/C spot especially at C where he can find open players

Happy for Ibi. Looks like he’ll have a shot at the last roster spot or will be in the G League.

That’s awesome! I never saw that coming. Despite his great eye for talent, even Beilein couldn’t get this guy off the bench and now he’s on the doorstep of the NBA.

Ibi was solid in his limited minutes his 2nd year. Just couldn’t beat out JP.
