Yep always thought he had potential. My dad still brings him up sometimes as a guy he thought could be real good for Michigan.
JP was tough competition though.

Poole just blew by Chaundee for a dunk and then Chaundee was able to get a layup at the other end.
only one was highlight reel
The Lakers just signed Sekou Doumbouya to a 2 way deal. Not sure about the Lakers roster makeup but was hoping Chaundee could earn one of those.
Yeah, Austin Reaves got a spot with the big club, was hoping Chaundee would slide into his two-way spot, but guess that isnāt happening (Ayayi has the other one and teams are capped at 2). Chaundee got playing time last night with LeBron and Davis on the floor (and has been getting more PT than Ayayi) so seems like heās at least high in the pecking order.
Chaundeeās ahead of fan favorite Mac McClung tooā¦
Yesterdayās games
Chaundee Brown: 11 points, 2 rebounds, 5/10 shooting
Jordan Poole: team high 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 7/14 shooting
Pooleās defense; Chaundeeās defense. Sort of, only partially, but:
With Talen Horton-Tucker and Trevor Ariza both likely to miss the first few weeks of the year, one or both the two-way guys (Ayayi, Sekou) may start the season on the NBA roster (and thus expend the service time the contract stipulates), opening up an opportunity for Chaundee.
Oh wow, there were a couple more added to that threadā¦
Those are cool videosā¦good for Chaundee.
I am wonderingā¦is this Alex Regla guy his agent of something? Who posts this many breakdown videos in preseason of a two way guy fighting for a roster spot? Wow.
Watching those it seems so clear that Chaundee learned how to play his perfect NBA role during his year at Michigan. He obviously picked it up quickly anyway but a year playing a specific role in a good system looks pretty valuable from here.
Chaundee was waived by the Lakers and will likely play on the South Bay Lakers G League team.
Walton was waived too but I wouldnāt be surprised to see him on the Motor City Cruise playing with Livers.
Walton has played in the top division of Germany and France the past two years - thereās almost definitely better money for him abroad.
Sounds like my hope of Chaundee getting that second two way is still aliveā¦
He did get an Exhibit 10 contract so there could be a bonus if he signs with the Cruise. Might be enough to keep him home.
wonder if Chaundee will be claimed by another team.
All the roster spots are full and two ways signed. Given that the Lakers already have two injuries to major rotation players, I think Chaundee had a reasonable hope of getting a two way later in the year (after Ayayi exhausts his service time) with LA as anywhere.
