Both Clemson and NC St lost to worse teams, so our RPI went unexpectedly from 51 to 47. Probably doesnt change the math on the need to win Wed and Fri vs Oregon but it doesnt hurt. Go Blue!

What a performance by Montgomery. A complete game in a tournament setting is a massive deal. Good to save the bullpen arms for these next 2 games.
Looks like the path to the tournament is beating 2 teams that Michigan beat 2 out of 3 times this season. Let’s go boys!!!

I will say, the crew doing the Michigan game yesterday seemed pretty confident with them making the tournament.
Baseball America new bracket today has us as the 2nd to last team IN and specifically said:
Two new additions: Michigan, which beat Rutgers on Tuesday in Omaha, and Texas State, which did not play Tuesday, stepped into the spots vacated by NC State and Kentucky. Michigan has bounced in and out of our projections for several weeks and now has a clear path to make a deeper Big Ten Tournament run with Washington looming next.

Potentially, but it’s over if they lose today. Might need a win over Nebraska tomorrow as well.
My guesses….If we beat osu on Thu and lose to Ore on Friday, we are most likely out….but maybe a 20% ish chance.
If we win Thu and Fri, then guessing we are 70% in…..need good results for other bubble teams. Big 10 hasn’t down well with bubble teams in recent years.
A win Sat would put us 99% in (and Sun 100%).
Yeah this seems about right, though we would play Nebraska tomorrow not Oregon.

Newest Baseball America bracket has Michigan as the 3rd team OUT, so gonna be really close. Probably need to beat Nebraska today to feel safe. Couple of teams we’re rooting against today:
- Troy (currently in a rain delay against 8th ranked Southern Miss)
- MAC is complicated. Basically only one team is going to make it, so between Kent State, Toledo, NIU, and Western, doesn’t really matter. Miami of Ohio losing this morning gets them out of our way
- Texas State doesn’t play again until tomorrow but the Sun Belt is messy & might get 4 in. Louisiana losing to Coastal Carolina can only help Michigan this afternoon
- East Carolina beating Rice this morning didn’t help our cause but them losing tomorrow would be big potentially

Purdue/UCLA is starting at 8 PM EST at the earliest. If it’s not over by 10:54 PM EST, our game will be tomorrow morning.

Purdue, even down day 7-0 will pull out all the stops to try to win, make several pitching changes,…. . So good chance it goes more than 2:55, and UM would play around 10am EST. Tough for both teams to hang out at the hotel, not knowing until around 11pm local time if they will play or not.
so there playing tomorrow morning. I like that even better.
