if duke had lost to a 16 i would’ve taken a week off work. i would think about it every single day for the rest of my life
The funniest thing about this Vogel news is that if you asked me to name the best free-agent coach who could address the Lakers needs…Frank Vogel would be near the top of the list. He is an elite defensive coach
He can pull up off the bounce, but he’s an awful defender
btw it sounds like the Lakers FO is going to try to force the new HC to retain assistants for some reason. If that moves your needle at all for Juwan’s consideration of the gig
so out of all the teams on that list the best fit seems to be OSU
Incremental news that makes it clearer the Lakers are not actually trying to get their act together is good news.
yeah I can’t make sense of this nugget. “player development in the interim?” like they want Austin Reaves reporting to the arena for shootaround with Fizdale or something?
Jeannie Buss has been a disaster as an owner and the Rambis have too much influence on the Lakers. I think they’re a dysfunctional organization that was saved by LBJ by winning the championship. They didn’t need to trade for Russ and lost a lot of their role players which made them tough.
I think LBJ probably will leave LAL in shambles once his contract is up after next season
I believe the proper plural usage (for Kurt and his wife Linda) is “Rambii”
I love tony Bennett
I’m happy for u
I’m happy for you.
…so they don’t have player development personnel they trust that aren’t assistants? that sounds like they’re just super cheap and have super limited staff.
Danny Green and Alex Caruso were also crucial losses outside of the disastrous Westbrook trade. But each of those moves were at worst signed off on by LeBron and more probably initiated by him. He’s incredibly bad at scouting and cap stuff. Jeannie has been terrible from what I recall reading but LeBron is the primary author of this particular disaster imo.
They need to pay 100s of thousands of dollars to make sure that Austin Reeves still has a rebounder for the next 3 weeks.
LeGM has always been awful. I love him as a player, but even going back to those 2000s Cavs, the moves he pushed for always failed
I’d quibble on Caruso (that seems to be all down to organizational frugality), but don’t disagree your main points.
Eh ai mean, he pushed for Ty Lue who has become a revelation. LeGM has made som bad choices but he’s also made some good ones.
LBJ has been bad with player personnel but LAL had to appease him because he’s LBJ. Caruso wanted to come back but for whatever reason, the LAL wasn’t interested. That’s mind-blowing.
