Man, we need Nike/Jordan to bring back these unis. I hate the scrunched up letters that are all bunched up to the top, and the weird 2s and 4s. There was no need to change from these or the Fab 5 era uniforms…although I do like the occasional late 80s throwbacks or the Cazzie-era throwback that we wore once or twice in the Burke years.

“ha, they spelled his name wrong (as we all know, he spells it ‘Zavier,’ but still uses ‘X’ as a nickname), and as a result it looks like they tagged a different guy with that name, one who plays in the NFL”

nope. wtheck. very incomprehensible instagram handle for a basketball player who does not spell his name “xavier”

Never Forget Lima

Which clearly you did

The Instagram handle predates him changing the spelling of his name. I imagine he could change it but :man_shrugging:

I don’t think he ever stopped calling himself Xavier

The Big Ten or NCAA mandated that rosters match legal names is all?

hmm. why does his name field say Zavier, then? could be some sort of public figure thing I suppose

I could be wrong but I always assumed the fact that the whole team and staff kept calling him “X” was an indication his heart wasn’t really in it

ah I figured it was just a nickname that went way back. for instance, the name I go by does not share a first letter with my birth name!
