I’m surprised to see Udoh back on campus even though he finished out his career at Baylor.
Yeah, wasn’t expecting Udoh to be one of those “alums” since I didn’t think his tenure ended all that positively when he went to Baylor. But I’m a sucker for outreach, positive vibes, connecting with all of the fans/alum/media.
I think it’s more just having an open door. Based on the tweet, I’d assume that there’s also a relationship between Natalie Achonwa, who is worked with the WBB team, and Jevohn from their Canadian roots.
looks like Udoh was recently at Baylor with Drew, from social media
He’s an assistant for the Hawks - I know lots of pro teams do coaching clinics this time of year that college coaches attend
honestly good for Glenn Robinson Jr even making it that far at 51 years old
I could totally see Chaundee as that guy who gets another post like this ten years from now and we look up and he’s been playing all over the world for a decade with some success. Guy has a lot to offer on the court in different ways but isn’t elite at any of those things to stick in the NBA.
Like Courtney Sims who played in Russia, Puerto Rico, China, Belgium, Latvia, Korea, and Japan over 10 years.
Or Josh Asselin from 01-15 - Spain, France, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ukraine, Iran, and Greece. WILD.
The Storks!
of note - the english language news on where they actually play now is unclear, but looks like the team name changed from nishinomiya storks to kobe storks this past year. nishinomiya is cool because it’s where koshien is, the center of the japanese baseball universe - it’s both:
- the home field for the hanshin tigers, NPB team in the style of the cubs (long-suffering, historic stadium) that is currently the defending champions after overcoming “the curse of colonel sanders” last fall, and
- the locaton for the last section of the national high school tournament, which starts with every single high school team in the country and is gradually whittled down
The hits keep coming for our favorite Stork!

Bill Raftery: “The Storks… Deliver!”
This made me laugh out loud
Nik Stauskas will be back in Ann Arbor on Friday doing color commentary for the exhibition game vs Toledo.
Love seeing U-M associated guys getting the nod on BTN. Coach B and Jake Butt currently. Hopefully Nik gets a full-time gig too!
Sounds like a good opportunity for a podcast guest!
Isaiah Livers posted on Instagram today that he had hip resurfacing surgery on October 18th. Not sure what that is, but sounds painful!
It appears to be an alternative to a hip replacement where the ball/socket of the joint are coated in metal rather than being replaced with a metal joint
A friend of mine is an orthopedic surgeon - indicates this likely ends his professional career, or if he does keep playing “would be back on the table in not very long”
