Eh, if I keep it up, at some point Dylan is just gonna politely ask me to leave. We gotta have some kinda statute of limitations here.

Ironically, Tray Jackson is very relevant to this thread’s category while EuroCup ball or whatever is going off the chains!

Listen. It does emphatically say “NOT” in the NBA.

One of my favorite wins ever. Devante masterclass, Moussa shot blocks and roll man dunks, Kobe dagger 3. Chills

I guess I don’t understand the rules of Euroleague qualification if the 9th place team in Spain makes it :man_shrugging:

I believe most of the teams are just permanent (licensed) then there are a few others based on league standings, bumping up EuroCup team, etc.

It’s closer to a Super League concept than a Champions League.

That’s also why the European league you play in is so crucial to your financial standing.

yeah it’s not really automatic. The Euroleague announces the teams at some date. If you win the EuroCup I believe you get a spot if you want, but last year the EuroCup winner elected not to as they said it was better financially for them to stay down.

This year they announced the teams in June, the only change was the EuroCup winner from this year replaced the defacto EuroCup promotion team from the year prior (the ones that got in because the other team said no). That was Valencia and they weren’t even bottom 5 on the table.

There’s not even necessarily a set number of teams either.

Have gone way too deep down a rabbit hole with this one… Basically only the “licensed/permanent” teams split the TV deal :skull:

“Furthermore, let’s not forget about the allocation of benefits derived from television rights and sponsorships, which amounts to a substantial 45 million euros. However, this sum is exclusively distributed among the A-license teams, leaving no room for others to get the money. Take ALBA Berlin, for example, which was the lowest-ranking team this past season, securing a modest sum of €350,000.”

Dang…puts things in perspective. Hope his recovery continues and this is behind him now. For as bad as his era ended on the court, I am happy that things were handled so well off the court with him, the school, the fans, etc.

Also…I was a little worried that he was going to hit his head on that door frame…or that they didn’t have a gown long enough for him to be walking the halls.

I recently saw an IG video of him doing a windmill kind of dunk in an empty gym so the fact that he could dunk that easily made me think he may have added some height

I can’t believe after years of archived hype on this forum and assurances he was gonna be a beast he doesn’t even end up at Michigan…

The epitome of dmb curse

Well, as much as I am rooting for the kid, let’s see what happens first. He’s always been the king of off season hype and we need to see it on the court.

It’s genuinely impressive how many alums (from all eras) Dusty May and his staff have brought back to campus at different points during the offseason.

Clearly been a point of emphasis.
