Apparently Zak Irvin got a five game suspension in the G-League for violating the NBAs gambling policy. The article I read was poorly written and offered no further explanation so I am not going to link it.

given the suspensions we’ve seen across sports for gambling-related stuff, i’m struggling to imagine what would only lead to a five-game suspension

My guess is the irrelevance of the G-League to anyone outside of sickos.

I assume some minor betting on other stuff type of infraction? Not sure what the NBA rules are there.

yeah, it just feels like the trend in pro sports is towards overly draconian policies because it’s so important for them to avoid even an inkling of impropriety, but maybe not in this case.

I’m gonna say Zak was on a 12 game heater betting Michigan football money lines

Kobe is sort of a player IN NBA but this tweet relates to his GLeague performance so I’ll put it here

Now why is Atlanta smart enough to have a guy coming off an injury go to the G-League team first to rehab and the Pistons aren’t?

@JD1 —- you already know the answer to that question, as you’ve sorta already answered it.
