Former Michigan Players NOT in NBA

He’s a pretty average player in a pro league that on par is probably worse than the Big Ten.

I love Stu, I like his pods, and he certainly gave us some moments (his dagger 3 against MSU when he came down the floor smiling with his tongue out is an all-timer). I’m not sure he had more to give.

That said he’s been clear that he liked Beilein but found his difficult and exacting nature hard sometimes - a perfectly reasonable opinion. People we like can have issues with each other and critiques and still get along!

and leaving his feet repeatedly under the basket. And then Spike–to my early concern–did it successfully.

That’s tough. Surprised the 6ers would get rid of a top 10 NBA 2k 3-point shooter

“Leaving his feet” may be the weirdest sports expression.

is Charles Matthews on a G League Roster? Think he was waived by the Cavs a few weeks back. Would have been nice seeing MAAR & Matthews play together (I think MAAR is still on the Cavs G League roster?)?

Also Jon Teske was waived by Orlando. Hope he can find a place as well.

How does the G League draft work? Is it all guys who were currently unsigned to two-ways?

What I’m really trying to get at is Zavier Simpson wasn’t selected higher than Cassius Winston in this draft was he? If so, I have Twitter jokes to make.

I think the draft is for guys that aren’t under any contract. I believe Winston is on a two way deal with the Wizards. Here are are the draft results I could find for the G League - seems incomplete

Also, I found notable that Vince Edwards from Purdue got drafted here.

I remember his senior year as one of the more complete teams in the Big Ten from the past decade with Haas, Cline, Mathias, Vince Edwards, Carsen Edwards, PJ Thompson (and young Eastern and Haarms). I get a lot of vibes of this year’s Michigan team with the 16-17’ Purdue team just with how many ways they can beat you.

Dak update. I thought he was still on Holtmann’s staff but I noticed he wasn’t listed on OSU’s roster page.

Spoiler Alert: he is not the man in charge at Elon, despite what the link title says. It seems like Mike Schrage brought Dak with him to be his director of basketball ops when he moved on from OSU to the head coach position at Elon.

The elder Dakich has mentioned this a few times on games he calls. Most pub Elon men’s basketball has gotten probably in a long time

I love that he’s now taking it from different spots on the floor!

When he ranges the hook out to 21’ he’s really gonna be hard to stop.

X is really perfecting his hook shots, next is to shoot with the left hand.
