The proposed “Magnificent Seven” ACC schools are UNC, NC State, Miami, Florida State, Clemson, Virginia and Virginia Tech. From that list, I’m guessing Miami is bringing the whole bag.
Who knew Kyle Neptune would be killing it and dominating the transfer portal. Not sure if he can coach but he can get talent.
I wonder why he is able to get talent
Didn’t Villanova bring Baker Dunleavy back more or less solely to whip up NIL donations? There’s a lot of money on the Main Line.
Yep – that’s correct.
Ya know who’s not doing that? Michigan
Isn’t Neptune’s first year mostly an incomplete? They played pretty well when they had their guys but they often didn’t have their guys
3 roster spots open and it’s basically June is entering yikes territory…
Don’t know why the concern over 3 rosters spots. The rotation seldom goes beyond 8-9 players. This will likely be the new norm. If you are the 10th-13th player on a D1 team you probably think you can play and off to the portal you go.
You want to have 8-9 good players in your rotation, not just 8-9 warm bodies. This team still has a few guys you’d like to be in that 10-13 range rather than the default top 8-9 because they don’t have anyone else
Exactly this. Half of our roster is essentially dead weight currently.
Lol just lol And Arizona is a somewhat reputable school.
Not sure we’re even wearing clothes to a gun fight, let alone carrying a knife.
I guess the answer to this is a yes but he hasn’t even been on the job for less than 50 days. Won’t his impact be felt more later on than immediately or it could be both. Maybe Dunleavy is a rockstar but i would think Neptune laid the groundwork some time ago.
Well people mocked Izzo for having 3 empty chairs. I imagine we are looking at either 2-3 empty chairs or at the very least 13 players when only 8-9 are playable. Heck this year they had 13 guys and Howard/Glenn/Khayat/Barnes weren’t playable this past year so that’s 9 guys.
I mocked Izzo because he doubled down on the 10 guy thing and then complained about lack of depth when Malik Hall went down and his comments about “wanting/not wanting” to play guys a certain amount of minutes.
Consequences meeting the results of his actions.
And they still made the sweet sixteen. Would they have gone further with better players 11-13? Debatable but still. Michigan had 4 guys they couldn’t play and didn’t make the tourney. Right now it looks worse.
I’m not arguing with whether it was the right call. Izzo will whine regardless on a multitude of issues whether they are helping his team or not. Just who he is.
A couple of coaches I know aren’t impressed by Neptune’s scheme and it’s not free flowing that you see from Jay Wright’s offense FWIW.
Yeah, Villanova was a mess this year. Feels like a huge year for Neptune.
Bamba, Moore, Hart, Burton and Dixon is a fun lineup. OTOH … Not really any pros, not really any true PG, there are some questions there.
Bunch of huge NBA Draft decisions coming today. Should be a fascinating 24 hours.
Crazy that Jett and Kobe will announce their returns today. And all our questions will be answered!
