Question: at what point will most of the smoke clear here, especially for us? End of April?
For Caris, I think he’s going to wait it out…see who else enters, get as much feedback as possible and get a better sense for how his foot is healing.
Beyond Caris, I have to think that most guys have settled into to what they are going to do for next year. It appears Kam is staying and there has been speculation about Donnal moving on, but I don’t get why he’d wait over 3 weeks to announce he was transferring. So maybe he locked in as well.
So they are really waiting on Caris…I think they obviously want Wagner and Brown…Edwards would be plan B if either or both fell through. If Caris stays, my guess is they would take any 2 of Brown, Wagner and Edwards and probably do something with Hatch’s scholly.
Still some juggling to be done…the sooner Caris decides, the quicker the roster will be settled.
Official Maryland announces Melo Trimble is returning. OSU also got a top 40 recruit for 2016.
May aid UM in the pursuit of Towns
I’m guessing we will have clarity on LeVert, Brown, Wagner and any transfers by the end of the month yeah.

Probably not quite the appropriate place, but them taking Funderburk should help put to rest some concerns about Teske flipping to OSU at least. I for one am happy.
Wow. Nebreska is going to be a shell of its last two years with everyone jumping ship.
Yeah Nebrasketball seems to be trending down right now. That’s too bad… I really like Tim Miles and I liked that squad two seasons ago that made the tournament.
Thomas Bryant to IU
Big get for Crean, should really bolster the center position.
IU could be contenders with a lineup of Blackmon, Ferrell, Williams, Bryant, Zeisloft, Perea, Johnson, Morgan.
Agree. IU is going to be tough and needed any sort of size they could get. Bryant will help. I believe this puts IU at 14 scholarship players which means somebody is about to be Creanated.

I still prefer Spring Creaning.
B1G is going to be back to the best conference next year IMO
Correction, now that Layman and Trimble are back, Maryland no doubt is the conference favorite.
Troy Williams returning to IU. If Yogi and Blackmon return, I think they have to be the favorite to win the conference.
If Dekker returns (seems unlikely), Wisconsin will be nice again.
Nigel Hayes says he'll return to Wisconsin next season. “You watched that game. I’m nowhere near good enough to do anything but come back.”

If Dekker leaves, I don’t see Wisconsin finishing in the top half of the conference.
Annoying how Wisconsin players always stay a year longer than they have to. Really jealous.

That would mean they lose Frank, Dekker, Gasser, Jackson and Duje.
I absolutely love Nigel Hayes and Bronson Koenig – and they have a solid incoming class – but that’s a lot to lose. Showalker, Vitto Brown are the other two notable returners and both didn’t do a whole lot this year.
A lot to lose and not being replaced by much. That and the Big Ten should be back to very solid and deep next season.
JB not expecting any attrition other than Max and potentially Caris. So we know Wagner is taking Bielfeldt's spot at this point, question remains whether Caris leaves and another scholly opens for Brown.Hopefully Caris decides soon, regardless of what his decision is. I’d hate to be in a position where we lose LeVert after Brown commits elsewhere.
I think its getting to the point where JB is going to have to put Caris on a timeline…can’t afford to get caught with the pants down again. No more excuses from that standpoint, he’s been around the block enough at this point.
JB did not get caught with his pants down last year. They knew there would likely be some attrition and they recruited a large class. At the same time they weren’t going Crean some guys out of the class if any of the big 3 decided to stay. Once they knew they were gone they did a good job in picking up Dawkins and MAAR. Their only problem was they missed out on some top targets. I would not call that getting caught with their pants down.
