Huskers now 3-6 in conference play (13-7 overall) and suddenly Pinnacle Bank Arena looks like a place of which you need not be scared, and that’s very worrisome for a team that doesn’t play well away from home.
@umhoops time to build a raft off of Archie Island and paddle on over to Underwood (is actually probably a pretty good coach) Isle?
Perhaps those TVs in the toilet stalls have not given them as much of a home advantage as planned.
So the post-Crean, post-Matta, post-Ryan era is working out nicely. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 1-2 more years of Michigan vs. Michigan State and no one else seriously contending for the regular season conference title
I think it’s pretty obvious now that the Big Ten just got older, not better.
I’d say the Big Ten is overrated. However, I honestly don’t feel it is due to the fact there’s a handful of elite teams in the NCAA this year and it falls off steeper than normal. Big Ten is solid as is other conferences, but the solid in the Big Ten and other conferences is not close to the normal solid in most years. It’s very much meh in 2018-2019.
The Big Ten also made the most of the non-con. It’s not a huge sample size, but the non-con is the best way to compare conferences and the B1G performed the best in head-to-heads
Agreed, but that’s why I think we know now it’s not because they were the better teams in non-con, they were just older and had more experience. They took out better teams still growing and finding themselves. Or, I’d agree the teams were equal and they just won coin flip games.
(I should’ve made it clear Michigan and MSU are not part of my opinion. Those two are part of the elite obviously.)
That’s an interesting point. I guess the second-tier of B1G teams returned a lot, like Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, and even Indiana. Ohio State might be the only team that lost a lot and still out-performed expectations
They have tvs that face a person while they’re sitting down on the toilet? I’ll bet the guy in stall 1 is watching a broadcast of the guy in stall 2, and vice versa. Meanwhile the guy in stall 3 has a split screen viewing of the guys in stalls 1 & 2.
just realized Maryland’s loss was at HOME. yikes
Well, it was listed as a home game for them but it was actually at MSG as part of the “Big Ten Super Saturday” thing the league does each year. So not as bad but also not good at all.
Michigan played in it three or four years ago against PSU. It was a “home” game for the Nits.
It was actually at MSG for some reason.
ah, that definitely makes more sense. Thanks for filling me in
If there is a player less likeable in the Big Ten than Brad Davison, please point them out.
That charge was disgusting. Was shuffling and ready to combust no matter how well Law avoided him. Trohl and Brad feed off each other
Said almost the exact same thing to my wife!
Osu is about is going be real good starting next year.
See I look at it the opposite. Another loss and they go from desperation mode to literally do or die. Either way we will get their best effort, it’s about matching them.
I think they’ll be solid next year. They lose Jackson but get a very good incoming class. However, their guard play is not all that great and we will have to see if Carton is ready from day 1. I actually think the year after is when they’ll take off. Kaleb Wesson will be a senior, Carton and that class will be sophomores and this years frosh class will be upperclassmen.
