I guess it depends on how much stock you put in the collective team mood heading into the Michigan game. If they lose, will they be deflated or fired up? If they win, will they be firing on all cylinders or caught napping?

also IIRC this is about the point on the clock where Penn State melted down vs. OSU.
I think it just depends on your priorities. If you want the top of the B1G to look good, itâs an Iowa win. If you want chaos, itâs an Iowa loss.
Personally at minimum Iâm rooting for Iowa not to cover the KP spread so we stay ahead of them there. But beyond that I think Iâm rooting for an Iowa loss. If weâre thinking ahead to the B1G tourney and we assume we get the 1 seed, I want Illinois and OSU to stay as the 2/3 seeds since they scare me the most and I donât wanna play them in the semi-finals. OSU and Iowa both have 5 losses, Purdue has 6 and Wisconsin has 7. I think best case scenario we get Purdue and Wisconsin as the 4/5 seeds, since Iâd feel really good about those matchups in the semi-finals. Then we only have to face one of OSU/Illinois/Iowa to win the B1G tourney.
Also of note: Illinois plays @ Wisconsin on Saturday. That will be Wisconsinâs first game since today, whereas itâll be Illinoisâ 3rd game in 5 days. If Wisconsin is going to win any game against a good team this year, that looks like the spot. Illinois also played yesterday, and have only two days off before the game against us. So beyond 3 games in 5 days theyâll have 5 games in 11 days as well ending with our matchup against them.

I like ALL your thinking here. KenPom, OSU/ILL being the 2/3 seeds and if Iowa could get bumped to a 6 seed that would be great too. Wisconsin/Purdue is probably the ideal matchup in a BTT semifinal.
If Iowa blows this today, then probably a good chance they hit the Fran Feb/March slide but they are still a team I would rather not see in a single game elimination.

I havenât watched much of this game but just figured it out. PSU has two centers with four fouls. Garza just got his second. Thatâs Garza Iowa for you and I donât know whether to tip my cap or roll my eyes.
Stay out of foul trouble Thursday and I like our chances.
