I can see why Izzo keeps playing Kithier. He runs hard all the time, gets to his spots, puts his hand up as if someone wants to feed him in the post, and tries hard. He isn’t a good player and probably shouldn’t be in the rotation…but I get it.

I think you’re right. And if he was playing 8-10 minutes behind a solid starter you can live with that. He’s not really the “problem”…the other guys just struggle too much.
The Kithier-Hauser lineup immediately yields 8 points to Purdue. In one minute.

Loyer only played 11 minutes in that game – tied for 2nd fewest all year. The fewest? The game they destroyed Rutgers (5 minutes).
