every one of the grizzlies getting traded has a j in their name
if they fit ok, I think Utah starts being goodâŚtomorrow, right
Next season, Lauri could play SF next to JJJ and Kessler at the frontcourt?
Dusty could make it work, we know that!
Ace going to play SG?
Memphis Jrizzlies
I think itâs possible they trade Lauri still, given the overlap. Regardless, it signals the Jazzâs intention to be good next year, because extending JJJ is going to cost a significant sum. I donât know the picks (outside of the one in this yearâs draft) will be that good.
Go big across the board!
Thatâs a big if. But they may win enough to be out of contention for Dybantsa.
It makes more sense if they have a Lauri deal lined up.
Theyâre 7th right now, right?
Iâd also say that weâre still dealing with a draft with 3 #1 level picks and a bunch of other dudes I really like.
I also mis-stated - JJJ IS extended, and it kicks in next year at $49 mil/year
Memphis is stocking draft picks
Probably to attach one or two FRP just to trade away Ja.
They have the 6th worst record but only have 3 more wins than the worst team. So theyâre currently still in the thick of it for the best odds to get a top-3 pick.
I just think this draft is good enough that you still feel like youâll get a good player where they are. (Iâm also not clear which picks are in the deal, and what the protections are)
Boozer/Dybantsa/Peterson is a draw to me, they could easily use any of the three.
I wouldnât kick Wilson/Brown/Flemings out either
A lot of good players in the lottery. Elite at the top and strong throughout the rest of the lottery.
They have a really nice 6-game losing streak going. Adding JJJ likely means theyâll get a few more wins here and there, ala Memphis. Maybe those two teams swap positions. I can see them winding up with the 8th or 9th worst record and then they have to hope that no teams get lucky in the lottery and put them around #10. I donât want Yax on the Jazz!
Well if George and Markkanen keep alternating DNPâs so they never play together Iâm sure they wonât stack too many wins
While I donât expect the Pistons to make a big move, I have to wonder if theyâll use a $14 mil trade exception to get someone who can make them better for the playoff run.
Maybe Levert + 1st + trade exception to get a shooter? Then again, they have an exception until July 2026, so they can wait until the season is over to make a trade. I can see Langdon staying pat and evaluating after the playoffs to see what theyâre missing to get them to the next level, then using the trade exception to get the piece they need.
Utah doesnât want to be good this year. Their pick is top 8 protected and I think they will do whatever tanking is necessary to keep it.
