They have 9 more games this month, including Denver twice. If Franz doesn’t return in that time, I’ll say the OVER/UNDER is 5.5 wins and I’ll take the under. 5-4 seems about right to me.
I’ll just say that I’m not a fan of Noah Eagle’s PBP style.
I hope they find the Darko of this draft with that pick.
Since when is a high ankle sprain 2-4 weeks?
Yeah, I’ll take the over on that time frame
If he were guaranteed to play in 90% of his games, he might be worth it. But, he’s more likely to be in that 50-60% range. So I’d pass. Cade is obviously off the table and I certainly wouldn’t give up any of Duren, Ausar or Stew in a deal for him, and probably not Holland.
But, I’d prefer they just steer clear. Davis has a ton of talent but he’s hardly available and that’s unlikely to change.
He doesn’t honestly make sense for them. He’d have to take Duren’s spot, and while Duren isn’t as good, you wouldn’t want to trade possibly 8-10 more years of Duren for like 2 of Davis, and Duren plays way more. I don’t think I’d do Duren for Davis straight up? (I admittedly loathe Davis)
There just isn’t a role for him without moving a guy who all things considered has more value. I know HE’D say he’s taking Tobias’ spot, but I think the on-court returns of “Anthony Davis - Power Forward” have been perpetually underwhelming.
That said, I don’t think Ron Holland or Isaiah Stewart should be even a fourth thought to include if you’re getting a star (it’s just that Davis isn’t the right one). For me, Markkanen makes much more sense.
I can see the others - the Raptors have like 4 guys who are essentially copies of each other in terms of play-style and a rapidly atrophying Jakob Poetl at center. I think it’s being clear that Porzingis can’t be counted on to play (Davis isn’t awesome in this regard, but better than KP), and Davis is definitely better.
Yeah, I’d pass on AD. I rather have Duren and Beef for several years of control over AD who can’t stay healthy and is aging.
I think Davis could play (when healthy) PF alongside Duren. But, I still don’t really want him on my team unless we’re giving up next to nothing on the current roster.
is next to nothing what we’re calling Tobias Harris now ![]()
I don’t think AD makes a ton of sense for the Pistons. He’s definitely best as a 5 at this point in his career and I don’t see any reason to displace Duren. AD at the 4 just brings another non 3 pt shooter into the lineup and clogs the lane for Cade.
if they did trade for AD, Tobias Harris would definitely have to be in the trade for salary purposes. I would think one of Ivey or Holland would maybe be the enticing piece to Dallas.
Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey will be re-evaluated in four weeks with a stress reaction in his left ankle. “This is a management plan to optimize Zach’s long-term health in consultation with the Grizzlies and medical experts,” Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports tells ESPN. Grizz were 7-4 w/ Edey, 4-9 without him
Looks like Pistons/AD interest is fueled by his agent and the media. Trading for AD does not make a lot of sense.
7-4 is very fitting.
I imagine that it’s just hard for someone that height and weight to not have foot injuries.
Does trading for AD make sense for any team? Aging stars that are oft-injured and making max money doesn’t seem like a risk worth taking unless you’re a team like Sacramento that struggles to acquire talent. I can’t see many teams, and not a single contending team, that would like the idea of trading for AD.
Every fan base seems to cringe whenever it’s rumored that their team might have interest in trading for AD.
The Pistons are interested in AD?! Well I don’t know who could’ve seen this coming or seen the fit!
It makes sense for Nico Harrison.
