I don’t even want the #1 pick this year. Feels like a draft like 2013 where you are doomed either way and if you have the top pick there is going to be enormous pressure on that player to be great even if it’s unfair because he likely would not be a #1 caliber player in 98% of drafts.
Everyone remembers the Anthony Bennett, Kwame Brown picks, but nobody remembers the busts that were drafted after them.
Anthony Bennett was exceptionally bad, but look at the players taken after him. They didn’t get nearly as much shyt as he did even though there were several other washouts and the best high picks topped out as role players. Bennett may have been better off not having the pressure of #1
