How many of “those games” have Harden played and Doc coached

I made the comment to my friends this morning that if you have me twenty points I wouldn’t take the sixers today.

It’s almost like other than the one time he had three HOF’s in their prime (2008) he sort of stinks (2010 was a great game 7, no hate on him for that)

Embiid: “Me and James, we can’t win alone. That’s why basketball is played five-on-five. We need everybody to find ways to be better.”

what a garbage thing to say. you played like total pizz and shid. Maxey and Tobias both outscored you today. PJ Tucker outscored Harden today.

Yeah that’s sh*t. Compare that to Jokic who will constantly defer to others as the best player on the team (he insists it’s Murray)

Maxey is good, and was good today. Their two best players played horribly, and have, respectively, developing track record and extremely established track record of doing so

It is garbage but also true. They don’t have the depth of the remaining teams and that was the difference plus Celtics stars outplaying 76ers stars

It wasn’t

Their 3rd and 4th guys scored 36 on 25 shots

Embiid and Harden did 24 points on 29

The full quote makes it not as bad imo

why because he said “I need to be better?” big deal. he threw his teammates under the bus and they all outplayed him today

I think the Celtics 3-7 is better than Phillys. Case in point game 6 Boston hung around because of Marcus smart (whose game I love btw) and then Tatum finally scored to win the game

I read it. I don’t think it makes it better. He says he needs to be better (true). A guy in his position doesn’t implicate Tobias Harris in the blame - he’s the “MVP”

I don’t disagree

But that’s why Harden and Embiid can’t get outscored by Tatum and Brown by 36

Agreed I just think Embiid (right or wrong) was talking about more than game 7

Possibly

It’s one thing for him to be correct and another to believe that, as a max contract guy who has complained about MVP voting for three straight years to say the problem is actually the 22 year old shooting guard and septuagenarian power forward who don’t make $15 mil between them

If we’re discussing the problems this team has it has more to do with Okafor, Simmons and Fultz (and Jimmy Butler) than anyone on the roster

I mean that’s stretching his words to say he was blaming Tobias Harris and tyrese Maxey

it’s absolutely not

Well them or Harris, Reed, or Melton

Nobody else played really

If you’re the guy and can spend 2 years campaigning for MVP, you wear this loss, imo

Jimmy Butler shares wins and wears losses whenever he talks. When you’re the guy, that’s what you do.

Embiid played real bad and had nothing left and it is what it is. Don’t think his words are particularly indicative. He’s trying to say nothing from what I can tell.
