If Diabate is giving us Evan Mobley flashbacks next year, I think we’re all going to enjoy the season quite a bit.

At least we’ll have a few days to prepare for the Zags should we win, but God help whichever coach has the Gonzaga scout.

Did they ever say who had the Gonzaga scout last year at Atlantis?

Yeah if you read my first comment, I said exactly what you just said haha. What I’m saying is that NIL could be the thing that hurts their chances at a dynasty. Otherwise, I see them having insane levels of success for years to come.

If it’s a repeat from last year Atlantis championship game, every Michigan fans would cream their pants

Yeah Mobley has clearly had a great season, and is just scratching the surface. I don’t want my commentary that I like Suggs way more to overshadow that. Sam V mock draft had Pistons taking Mobley #2, and I just don’t want that to be the pick

Nah, some of them would be saying “see, I told you they were overrated”

Kispert is having an off-night but it doesn’t matter at all lmao

How much does a Gonzaga demolition of the USC zone tell us about what they’ll do to us?

It’s worrying, should we make it that far… but I do remember that someone responded to my pessimistic worry about matching up against USC by suggesting that we’d shred their zone.

Are we seeing stuff here that will replicate well against us, were we to advance to play them?

Whoever it was earned their keep:

I guess we would just have to disagree on that. UW will never take basketball seriously and the Seattle market will (to some extent) belong to Gonzaga, yes. But their pull just isn’t that great. Not as great as you might think. Even in Seattle, it’s just go huskies. The limitations of being such a small private school, IMO. I like their campus a lot but I can walk thru that thing in about 10-15 minutes.

MSU has football, is in the Big Ten, and is a huge school with a huge alumni base. I just don’t see Gonzaga on that level. And Spokane is a clean 4+ hours from Seattle. Like I said, I think Gonzaga has the makings of a dynasty for the next several years. I just think NIL could hurt them. We will see.

Timme really struggled against Teske in that game.

Seeing Suggs made me question on how can Minnesota not clean up their own city. Minneapolis is emerging as a basketball city. Minnesota let Suggs get away from them and about to lose Chet Holmgren get away from them as well. The WBB team lost Paige Bueckers to UConn.

I’m trying to talk myself into the fact that Gonzaga is built like a team that dismantles zones (like a vintage Beilein team), and that’s USC’s base defense, so they’re uniquely vulnerable to a team like this. Maybe? Please?

Do these announcers not understand their insinuation from continuously referring to him as “the fallen official?” If I just tuned in I’d think the worst.

If Michigan advances, can we get two halves of second-half Gonzaga, and no halves of first-half Gonzaga? Because I like Michigan’s chances much better against second-half Gonzaga.

Had the same thought.

Chuck Daly was a Duke assistant on those 1960s teams. We think of him as an NBA lifer but he actually spent a long time in college.

You need to maybe start betting Brendan for like, lunch, or something.

These dinner bets are not working out for you :grimacing:

It’s freaking Minnesota. Unless you absolutely love being cold, I think a lot of kids are going to want to branch out.
