It’s not 3 for 2. It’s three main guys with Irvin able to slide down and Watson available for depth. And there may be hope of sliding other guys down as well. On a roster of 13, even 4.5 guys for two positions is not some crazy roster imbalance. And expecting a top-75 guard who looks pretty college ready to be the third guy in a rotation isn’t a stretch in college ball.
Roster quality and roster composition (in terms of how many at each position) are different things. Saying our players are not that great is different than saying we have too many bigs.
There are plenty of threads where you guys can argue about that crap. This thread should really be kept to updates from our 2016/2017 commits.

Xavier Simpson onto state semis vs. Jarron Cumberland.
Looks like his game is stepping up each round. Good to see.
I don’t know much about the rest of Cumberland’s team, but I think Lima has enough bigger athletes to keep him in check. Should be a good game though.
Does Xavier Simpson have a shot at being Mr. Basketball in Ohio this year? It will be interesting to see his role next year. I could see a nice 3 guard rotation with him, Walton and Rahkman. Simpson and Walton would be a small backcourt but I think it can work at times. I also think Walton can be more effective playing off the ball. He’s not very adept at shooting off the dribble or at getting into the lane consistently. Good all around player but has some definite deficiencies in his game.

Waltons defense is great. With the way Simpson plays defense I could see both of them getting about 10 minutes a game together, they are both super quick and play hard on defense. That could be tough for opposing guards. I know that’d be small but I definitely see it happening. The only potential problem I see is Dawkins, chatman and Robinson. They need to use this summer to put in a lot of work on bringing what they offer every single day. Dawkins was a huge let down this year in his overall game. At least chatman is starting to show what he can do.

Not yet but Rouge is normally very athletic, not sure what they are like this year. If they keep advancing he will see competition unlike their league.

RR is #6 in Class B.
GI is no good!! He is going to get a major test in the final against RR. They have a sophomore already getting offers from mid majors. It will be real interesting to see if he can keep up with RR speed
RR has always been decent in basketball…Brent Darby left the state to go to Columbus for reasons unknown to me. My buddy’s son, Reggie Pearson(18/Safety), is also a kid getting looked at by UM for football.
Well Lamonta Stone is back so he is getting kids there again. Guarding Darby was not fun
