“I think Tim has put himself in a nice position to play, there’s no doubt about that. He’s going to be in the rotation, he’s going to play some,” Woodson told reporters, according to KnicksNow.com.
The former Michigan star went for 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including the eventual game-winner, in Wednesday’s 103-102 win over the Celtics.
“I’m not really worried about playing time, I’m just trying to get an opportunity to go out there and play as hard as I can when I get the opportunity,” said Hardaway Jr., who shot 3-for-5 from the arc.
Watched the game last night. THJr looked a little lost out there in the first half, often wondering into the corner and watching Carmelo and Shump do their thing. Got some nice opportunities in the fourth quarter and took advantage of them. What was even more enjoyable was the post-game interview where Tim answered every question with humility and insight. When asked if he was nervous or if he thought twice before the game winner, THJr calmly said that he played a lot of big games in college that prepared him for any moment on the basketball court. He then went on to give a lot of kudos to the preparation he received while at UM.
Also…nice to see Peedi get a little run for the Celts in that game too. Was 2-2 in 5 minutes for 4pts. He’s got an uphill battle to get a roster spot, but he’s definitely continued to work hard and hopefully it will all pan out for him.
