Trey and Tim

Agree with theoracle, if Kanter and Favors can learn to play together in a complimentary fashion then there is no need to trade either one of them. They are both double double machines and with Trey being so good at the PnR, the Jazz will have easy buckets in the paint all day long. IMO, it’s Gordon Hayward who needs to go, to be replaced by a Parker or Wiggins.

Kanters and Favors can’t play together.

Hayward is the one that needs to be kept. He is 6’8’’ and can play SG while also playing a kind of point forward. Perfect player to pair with Burke, due to his lack of size, and let him play off the ball some. He can shoot, defend, rebound all at a high clip, too.

They all need to be kept. Kanter and Favor have been and will be playing together. They both have the same skill, both have Js out to 15-17 feet. Hayward is already a borderline AS 2G. They need to replace Marvin Williams in the starting lineup but they can’t do that now with no competent big coming off the bench if they start the 2 big monsters together. Get Parker/Wiggins, get Jefferson out, get a bench and they’re off and running.

As with everything, money is an issue. The NBA pays for size regardless of skill. Favors is maxed out. Hayward wants near the max. Kanter will want near the max soon. Got to choose.

That’s a whole nother discussion, but the Jazz have PLENTY of cap space to keep those 3 together as long as they want to. Plus Kanter and Hayward are both going to be restricted FAs to start. They can keep this thing together for awhile to see if it’s gonna work.
