This Tre Donaldson argument is way too far to the extremes.
He’s not an All-American. Michigan doesn’t need him to be an All-American. He’s not the primary offensive driver of the team, Michigan doesn’t need him to be. He is crucial to how the roster functions and he’s been very impactful on offense and defense.
He needs to play way better than he did in Madison.

I’m not saying he’s an All-American—far from it. All I’m saying is that you can’t take the first halves of games, or in the Wisconsin case, the full game, and say he is a problem without taking into account the flip side which is his really, really good second half performances until Wisconsin.
I don’t think anything we said on Donaldson ignores how good he’s been in 2nd halves
Maybe I misunderstood. In any event, we agree that he needs to be more consistent and much better than he was at Wisconsin in either half.
