I thought Binghamton’s approach to the game was interesting. They knew they were seriously overmatched, so they played 2 teams of their own, giving each 5 equal time on the floor. I’ll bet they were just keeping an internal score sheet. Pitting one team against the other kept their girls playing hard the whole game to see whether team A or team B was the better team, offensively and defensively.
Great write up, Zach. Uconn is not just a good internal measuring stick game, it will give a nice indirect comparison to Ohio State, who got blown out by UConn last weekend. I know OSU likely isn’t a Big Ten title contender this year, but they were for so many years, I still think of them that way.
Good article, Zach. It really seems like these next few years of Olivia Olson, Syla Swords, and Mila Holloway could turn into a golden age for Michigan Women’s Basketball.
One suggestion for future articles would be in the “What’s Up Next” section, you could put the time, date, and tv network (or streaming service) for upcoming games. Might help more casual fans keep up with the team better.
The UConn game will be a good measuring stick to see where this team is at because the Huskies like South Carolina have dominated women’s college basketball for a long time
I think we lost to SC last year by 6, not 1.
Thx – fixed.
