Ah….that helps. I’m not much of an NBA guy.
To Shanghai
It’s a joke, and also, UK is really trying to lure Jamal so they can land his son.
didn’t even think about if dusty’s announcement(?) that the banners were going back up could be in danger now

So do we think Roddy is getting good minutes on this team in the early competitive summer league games?
There was no Fab Five scandal. There was a C-Webb, Mo Taylor, Tractor, Bullock, and Albert White scandal.
I think he’ll be in the rotation, if not starting with that group.
Seems unlikely he’d start over Lanier and Okorie
Yea def behind those, I don’t know too much about the other guys
Believe me @SuperDave41 I know all of those details as that was the era when I was in AA. The reality was that there was an Ed Martin scandal. People forget that he gave money to players besides those at Michigan. I didn’t want to rehash the whole thing here - just thought the financials were interesting. I could also point out how Jamal got railroaded by the NCAA because of his guardian and left Michigan in part because they insisted he pay back benefits….which it turns out he would soon be able to pay easily given his amazing success in the NBA. ![]()
Interestingly Jalen, being a Detroit kid, was not involved with Ed Martin, but Bollock was.
This is why I always point out which players were actually involved, especially for your younger members here. Jalen, Juwan, Jimmy, and Ray don’t deserve to be lumped in with the scandal.
Jalen has admitted to taking “walking around money” from Martin, though of course did not become targeted by the NCAA
Jamal might be the most egregious pile of NCAA BS in history.
The only actual scandal is that the banners haven’t been hung up yet
Sing it from the mountaintop!

Tre/Vlad duo coming to Sioux Falls.
I was thinking that he might be a SF with that group.
You’d have to think Okorie, Lanier and Oneyenso will get a higher priority early on since they drafted them. If Okorie balls out early on, I think they will be more inclined to pull the SL plug on him.
