I think Oats to MSU would be a very real option if the timing is right.
They just named their new AD after a ânationalâ search and itâs Beekmanâs deputy. Safe to say Oats to MSU would require a lot of internal approval
I think Oats would consider Michigan and MSU. Not sure the schools themselves would but he would. I believe it was reported he would take the Michigan job but the salary he was requesting was outrageous.
Michigan might be good enough that it wonât matter as much, but generally it takes a blue blood or blue blood-light team to fill up crisler in a nonconference game. It definitely takes one to get some noise in the building. I was excited to see the place against someone like Kentucky. The game against UNC a couple years ago was incredible.
Never heard of it, but looks like a nice small venue. Iâd spend good money to see the team up close there, if anyone else is into it and maybe join forces to secure a group of tix.
Itâs honestly a very weird facility, built on the campus of an old mental hospital in a rough part of town. I like the small capacity, sort of like Georgetownâs McDonough Gym, but itâs not part of a broader shopping/collegiate/social experience.
It seems statistically like a pretty decent schedule but as a fan it leaves a ton to be desired - UNC and Arizona are brand names but not very good. Iâm not sure Seton Hall counts as a brand name. I also acknowledge itâs not really anyoneâs fault, given that Oregon and UK bounced.
Are we attributing Oregon not being on the schedule to Oregon bouncing?
I was under the impression that Michigan bounced on that one.
I question whether Michigan bounces Oregon had they known Kentucky would bounce UM.
Ok I forgot why we lost them, just that we did, soâŚâŚUK isnât our fault.
21-9 and 13-7 in the Big Ten. I wouldnât hate that.
Why is UNC being considered a Quad 3 game? Has to be a bug, right?
Maybe swapped with UNLV, which he has as Q1
Something is off. Iâm guessing they are based on last years final ranks and it is a bug. Just like UCF is listed as Q3.
26-5/15-5 + 3-0 BTT = 29-5 and a 1 seed.
Letâs go!
Might we get Steve Fisher in attendance to watch Juwan take on Brian Dutcher?
Maybe this is a liiitle take-y but, if our team which will probably start 2 seniors, an unprecedented 5th year senior (without a redshirt), a sophomore All American candidate, and a top 15 freshman - no matter how callow the bench - goes 21-9, 13-7, I will be somewhat disappointed (but not furious or asking for terminations).
I mean if thatâs the average record that Torvik or KenPom churns out based on win probabilities I donât really see how that can be disappointing, especially since it has Illinois, OSU, and Purdue and us with all the same conference record. That record would make us a top 10 team
