Good vertical but not as high as he was hoping for
Yep. His agent was claiming that he could hit 45.
Yeah, that seems like a relative under performance for him. Too bad.
41.5 is absurd. I’ve only seen 2 guys post higher.
Hah, I mean under perform only in that he maybe thought he could have done better. Still absolutely insane vert as we have seen for 2 seasons.
The thing I like about GR3’s leaping is that it is functional, in-game athleticism. Its not like Jordan Farmar posting a 40 inch vert lol.
His agility/lateral quickness was subpar in the testing but his sprint time of 3.15 was 3rd best http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?year=2014&sort2=DESC&draft=0&pos=0&source=NBA%20Draft%20Combine&sort=16
Am I reading that right that Nik had the 5th best (at least so far) agility/quickness score? He seems to have done okay on the sprint. A good combine for him.
As for GRIII, I agree with guestavo, his score isn’t quite a record-setter but he’s already shown how good he is at body control and timing, etc., while reaching his max or near it. A couple more inches would’ve been nice though.
Also saw Dylan’s tweet than GRIII tied for the highest standing vertical leap at 36.5. So a pretty good couple days for him too.
It sure would be nice if he finds his way into the first round. If somehow he and McGary were first rounders it would definitely help recruiting for JB to be able to tout all of these first round picks the last couple years

Definitely helped at Purdue, too!
Glad to see both these guys are performing well at the combine. I think we all assumed that GR3 would really raise his stock in this setting, but I’m surprised at how Stauskas is grading out athletically. Didn’t think he’d do poorly, but I didn’t think the combine would really help raise his stock either, but it seems to be doing so.
GR3 is gonna push himself solidly into the first round after all is said and done IMO.

Seems like the combine couldn’t have gone much better for Nik and GR3. Draft Express’s latest mock has Nik 14 to the suns, Glenn 29 to OKC, and Mitch 30 to the Spurs. Would definitely be cool to see all 3 on likely playoff teams next year. Also think it would be a perfect fit for all 3. Nik playing in an uptempo offense with a fantastic pg in dragic. GR3 playing under KD and a team that needs wings. Mitch going to an organization with an incredible player development record along with playing under Duncan and Pop.
Still way too low for GRIII. I Cant see KJ McDaniel, Jerami Grant, Jordan Adams or PJ Hairston going before him.
I read somewhere that Nik was one of the losers at the combine because of his body fat @ 12.1. Regardless, I still think he’s a great fit for any team. The three baller is a difference maker.

Saw that same Yahoo piece. I think it’s a joke because that’s the only numbers that were worse than expected. His agility and sprint numbers - which were concerns going in - were actually pretty good. At worst, his stock stayed steady. Most likely it bumped up a little.
They did not do all body fat measurements at once. Some players had more than him when all was said and done.

Is that not one of the easily fixable things? And out of curiosity, how does it affect his game?
