Very rare to see refs call a block when a offensive player rams the defender with the shoulder like that
Jordan Poole needed that one to go down. Michigan shot just 4-of-10 at the free throw line including two missed front ends.
U-M transition defense improved as half went on. Defensive rebounding has been phenomenal.

After the first 6 min we dominated the half. What were we, 4/11 from line? With two missed front ends… Make 2-3 more which still isnt even good (6 or 7/12) and one or two of those bunnies and we are up double digits. Keep UNC out of transition and keep attacking/make FT and we will win. Not to mention two-three just horrendous calls that led to unc FT. D rebounding has been amazing for us.

Maye got away with it earlier too.
We’ve had a few bad luck calls, but overall, we’ve benefitted from the way the game has been called since we’ve been the more aggressive team and we can actually play defense
I’ll take 39 in one half the way our defense seems to be figuring it out.

FTs were an issue and will continue to be. 2 fouls on Livers/Iggy is a concern too. Missing easy layups should get fixed, Poole hopefully just got his mind right, and the D has played great since the first 5 minutes. Really encouraging first half.

Keep attacking the basket in the second half. It’s there, think we missed 3 gimmes.

They gave us a couple of easy ones, but then missed some way more obvious calls. But their gaffe giving Iggy his 2nd on top of Livers with 2, could end up hurting
Edit: also, a couple of those missed layups had out players clamoring for a rake call. Dont see many layups go flying out of bounds/clanging off the rim like that

UNC also dips deeper into their bench, and can better withstand a couple players in foul trouble (for the most part). Livers getting his 2nd foul could have a huge impact later on since Teske had to play so many minutes.
