Game 5: Michigan vs. Providence Open Thread

Curious to see how Providence plays the pick and roll with Livers on the court. Teske has been wide open. (Probably by design)

I think it’s all touch with teske. Gotta be hard being that big and have a soft touch

Transition offense has been beautiful these last three games.

Michigan goes small with Isaiah Livers at the five and Providence goes to a zone defense.

Iggy is such a monster. What a natural scorer

Iggy shaking off the low scoring game yesterday!

Iggy is acting like this a playground for him

X to Iggy after the should have been travel call… “NO…PASS THE BALL” hahaha

Love how Iggy’s playing but got bailed out there. Gotta get his head up in transition.

When there’s a crowd in the stands, Iggy’s game turns up a notch.

Love attacking transition game!

make-up no call on Iggys travel. Prov got away with one just before the and-one

After that boo, whatever the new committee metric is called better count this as a road game

Are there any stats yet to measure how good we are in transition? It’s clear it’s more of an emphasis this year and with the number of defensive stops we get, that makes sense. But are we actually “good” at scoring in transition?

They are definitely good at defense

Man, Providence is getting no good looks whatsoever.

Love the things that don’t show up in the stat sheet. Poole blocked his man out so well for a teammate to get the board.

Our guys wall up so well at the basket.

Not highlight there
