Game 30: Nebraska at Michigan Open Thread

And making the ref get the ball was terrific.

Earlier this year he was getting to the rim. All these injuries have pretty clearly taken their toll

Ugly first half. I think Simpson was trying to force things early on. Isaiah is clearly struggling and that can be attributed to his health. Not the trajectory we want to be on heading into the BTT.

yes he was

I disagree. He has always struggled. The prior two years he rarely tried. He gets caught in no man’s land and, to date, has not shown a floater.

Yea, I’d rest him all week. He needs it. He finishes all 4 of those takes when healthy

I feel like Livers form is what got thrown off most from the injury. Any shots he took as he recovered probably had less legs, resulting in more push motion. Could be my eyes just deceiving me and nothing changed at all, but it looks like he’s pushing the ball a little more since the injury.

(Illinois up 8 early, 7 seed could be in reach with a W at Maryland)

It’s frustrating to think that we were playing so well - literally the best in the country per Torvik - when Livers hurt his ankle. Sigh.

Just play him medical staff said he is good! Just because he is cleared don’t mean he is healthy he clearly is limited and it shows. Anybody who can’t see that well then don’t know what you are watching!!

I don’t think anyone said that he looks particularly great. I don’t understand the idea that resting him is somehow going to make him more ready to play in a week though.

Is he still jumping?

I think my hot takes from the first half were, 1) relative lack of involvement of Eli till he hit the 2 3’s (he had what 20 in the first matchup), 1) Teskes defensive still alters a lot of shots when he isn’t matched up against a powerhouse center, 3) looked like maybe the emotion of senior night got to Zavier a bit with a few rushed/forced plays.

Let’s lock it down and win by 15+!

At risk of jinxing him again, may that be the end of Livers’ slump.

Teske finding that sweet spot again

Be nice if Teske kicked it out once in awhle. He finished through three defenders. Guys are open.

Lol X wanted a dunk so bad right there
