Theyā€™reā€¦ not terrible. Huh? Oakland was terrible. Ball State is a fine team. Kenpom line was 14, up by 7 at half. Not a killer performance, but clearly an improvement over last game.

Too loose with the rotations so far. Doesnā€™t really appear to be any rhyme or reason to the lineups on the floor. Wish theyā€™d tighten it up

So Franz had 7 points and an assist before the first media timeout and then didnā€™t attempt a shot again in the half. Would love to see him be used as a more consistent focal point.

Honestly I blame Juwan for this primarily. Just funky funky stuff with the rotations. I imagine heā€™s just experimenting but itā€™s the reason they made this a game and is pretty frustrating since our good players need to get used to playing together too

Mostly meaning thereā€™s little we can takeaway from this run by them unless we sub like this in a B1G game which I just canā€™t see

It was 34-14 at the 5:40 mark. Ball State went on a 19-6 run to finish. Yuck.

They are terrible. I know what I see. And I see a team that was begging to be blown off the court until we fell asleep for ten minutes.

Iā€™d be concerned if they made that run against one of our better lineups. But clearly Juwan isnā€™t threatened.

Iā€™m not sure we even know that for sure. Johns might be able to terrorize Garza and Cockburn off the dribble or just be involved in pick and pops and have those guys be forced to defend in space enough to make up for the difference on the other end. Nobody likes doubling the post but do we even know if Davis can handle those guys 1 on 1 better? We might even be better off zoning up and getting some extra length out there at the guard spots.
